About Sasha
Skills and Experience: Sasha Castillo has 20+ years of experience in nursing. She began her nursing career as an LVN and continued her education, attaining her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Sasha is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse skilled in disease prevention, health promotion, and restorative care in patients of all ages. Her experience ranges from pediatric home health and pre-operative department to clinical health informatics and quality assurance.
Sasha has worked as a Nurse Practitioner with UT Health RGV at V Express Care and most recently with Rio Grande Pain Team. She has a strong inclination towards holistic medicine and emphasizes personalized health care through Functional Medicine, where she has seen great success with its root-cause approach.
Education & Certifications: Sasha obtained her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. Prior to that, she had obtained her LVN and Associate Degree in Nursing from South Texas Community College. Sasha holds the following certifications:
